Over the last three decades we’ve seen tremendous progress in how our country treats young people who become entangled in the juvenile justice system. Research-driven improvements have led to the system better meeting its purpose: Keeping the community safe by turning around young delinquents’ lives. The increased focus on rehabilitation over punishment and expanded access to education, employment and opportunities have resulted in better outcomes for individuals and for systems.

The CIYJ Annual Awards Night Gala celebrates dedicated and compassionate public servants who work hard daily to build skills and create opportunities for the young people in their care. We celebrate the talents of system-involved young people and enjoy performances from across the country.
This year is special as we will welcome our new Executive Director, Tim Baymon, and thank our founding Executive Director Kim Godfrey Lovett for more than 30 years service. It will be a night to remember!
